Screenprinting for Beginners

Materials - All materials such supplied (paper, pencils, stencil knives, screens, squeegees and ink for fabric or paper)

Learn how to create a screen-printing design to print on t-shirts or fabric, this workshop teaches you how to turn a drawing or design into a screen-print. You will understand how to use a stencil knife, and basic tools of the trade such as a screen and squeegee. Depending on what you want to create you will learn the difference between paper and fabric inks and squeegees, about screen mesh and how to build your own screen.

Photographic Screen Printing

Learn about photographic emulsion, and building your own screens for long term or bigger jobs.

Requirements- Basic knowledge of Screen-printing or completion of "Screen-printing for Beginners" 

Materials - All materials such supplied.

Depending on what you want to create you will learn the different between paper and fabric inks and squeegees, different mesh types and how to build your own screen from scratch. You can also learn about photographic emulsion and exposing your designs in the sun to produce designs which will be permanently on adhered to the screen. Until you want to remove it using caustic soda and a pressure hose. With these kinds of printmaking, you can print large quantities of fabric in short times and also reprint the designs in the future.

Printmaking for Beginners

Learn about a few different printmaking procedures such as lino printing, or wood block printing on paper.

Learn how to design for lino or wood block printing and also how to print. Learn about the tools used and also the ink and clean up procedures involved.
